Dumas Bay, located in Federal Way, is a Nature preserve on Puget Sound which has small beach and provides plentiful wildlife & bird watching.
Check out the upper and lower areas of this park. Near the parking lot woodland birds can be found, including wrens, warblers, flycatchers, woodpeckers, thrushes and finches. Walk across the road to check the pond for duck species, woodland birds along the road, and herons in the trees. Follow the trail downhill to the bay and wetland, where shorebirds, sea ducks and raptors can be found.
