Birding the vast expanse of Harney County's 10,000+ sq. miles can be daunting. Which birds are where? and when? Dan Streiffert has been birding and photographing in Harney County for 15+ years. This presentation showcases his approach to taking advantage of particular birding 'routes' that cover the diverse landscape and discovers the array of birds and other wildlife available. Dan will share tips and tricks for seeing particular species at different times of the day or throughout the year.
The class will focus on bird language, behavior, habitats, nests & bird tracks. Learn to identify, observe, and tell the story of birds in their environment. Birds are such unique animals and leave us with exciting mysteries. Their behavior has fascinated ornithologists for decades.
We are open for volunteers to help in setup, take down, manning tables, etc.
Please contact Jay Galvin if interested in volunteering. gjgalvin@comcast.net ph. 253-939-3094.
