Skagit Valley Field Trip Report

A good time was had by all on Sunday as an RAS led team invaded the Skagit Valley with scoping tools in hand. Cold rain in the morning led to sunbreaks in the afternoon as the brave troop managed to find most of the bird species seen on the Skagit this time of year. 

  Some of the species seen : Bald eagles ( At least 50)

                                               Short eared owls ( > 10)

                                               Dunlin ( Hundreds)

                                               Swans ( Hundreds)

                                               Snow Geese ( Thousands)

                                               Kestrel

                                               Harrier ( > 15)

                                               Ducks ( Thousands)
