Flaming Geyser State Park, Saturday, June 6, 2026, 9:00 am-4:00 pm
Join us for the 2026 Rainier Audubon Nature Festival at Flaming Geyser State Park. This state park is only 15 minutes east of downtown Auburn, on Green Valley Road.
Our feature presentation is a live bird show. “The Falconer” will present several raptors, including a hawk, falcon, owl, vulture, and eagle. ***State occupancy laws limit us to 60 seats for this presentation. We recommend arriving early. Guests will receive a FREE wristband ticket for a seat. One seat per wristband. Saving seats for others is not allowed. ***
Other activities include presentations on native plants, bats, wildlife conservation, gardening, astronomy, geology, and local birds. Guests will also be able to view an active Bald Eagle nest.
The kids can paint birdhouses at the crafts station while parents enjoy the exhibits. Bird lovers of all ages can learn how to attract our avian friends using nest boxes and feeders. Bird identification walks and native plant walks will be held throughout the day. Amateur astronomers will have telescopes available to safely observe sunspots outside the park lodge.
Bring the family and your binoculars along for a day of “Birding and Learning.” This is a FREE ENTRY day at Flaming Geyser State Park. No Discover Pass is required.

Hi, I just saw a note that the Festival is postponed due to weather? Please shoot me an email if that is correct, I don’t want my friends to drive down for an event that isn’t happening this weekend. Thanks, Laura
